The Pilot

Ken became a UFO (United Flying Octogenarians) in October 2019.

I have been interested in flying since my days in the Air Force. I joined a parachute sport skydiving team and have jumped out of a lot of good airplanes. I was young and not married.
Then after the children were grown and I had officially finished my career in the corporate world, I was presented with a Christmas gift in 1995, a 10 lesson flight training package at a local flight school.
The dream was reborn and flying is apart of my life. This aircraft is the third one we have owned.  Our first was a Piper Archer II which was a good 4 place aircraft.
We belong to a very active EAA Chapter #430 in Sequim WA and over the years I have flown over 320 Young Eagles (kids between the ages of 7-17) hoping they would follow a career in aviation.
Flying as a hobby has many advantages and joys.  Owning your own plane had many benefits and an added responsibility.
One of the best parts of being an AV8TR is the friendship with other pilots.
In October 28, 2019 I joined the UFO group.  A very special bunch of aviators all over the age of 80.  Happy to still be flying and able to join many of my UFO friends.
