‘Kotori’ (Bird of luck)

Kotori’s language of origin is Japanese. The meaning of Kotori is ‘bird of luck’.
Where is Kotori today?

2023 is underway and the flying has started.  Some adventures are already recorded on the adventure page.  More to come

I am looking to get more than just local flying this year.  Options look good for some fun trips.

UFO Day

A HAPPY UFO  in 10/2019

Current President of the United Flying Octogenarians 2022-

  • 2023 found us in a car for a couple of road trips on the west coast.  Met the Prez trip in February where we visited UFO members in Vancouver WA, Creswell OR, Ashland OR, Novato CA, San Luis Obispo, Riverside CA, San Diego, Buckeye AZ, Tucson AZ, Mesa AZ, Reno NV.
  • In September we drove to the Last Lap of the RARA (Reno Air Racing Association) Air Races.  Met many UFOs and while there.
  • And lots of local flights for meals with friends.

2022 is planned to have many local trips. We are vaccinated and boosted and looking forward to so fun times this year.

  • Planning a trip to Eugene OR with a friend to check on the status of a repair on his RV12 (February)
    • WX keeps moving the date for the trip.
  • We are planning on one cross country to northern California.
  • Local Fly-outs (Feb-December) for burgers and such
  • Young Eagle flights in May, June, July
  • San Juan Island adventures in September 2022
2020/21 -The New Year was planned to unfold great adventures and then came COVID-19  Major events were cancelled in 2020. 2021 events were just too risky for us to consider.
